Biodiesel fuels tend to collect water quickly, especially in warmer environments. Typically, these fuels are fully saturated at approximately 40 ppm of water in a 40ºF environment. At 95ºF, they become saturated around 117 ppm. The Engine Manufacturers Association recommended Guideline on Diesel Fuel (EMA FQP-1A) specifies a 200-ppm maximum total water content in diesel fuels.
